Warm Greetings from Maharashtra Andhshraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS). The Maharashtra Andhshraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) is a voluntary organization fighting against all forms of superstitions for almost three decades, in the state of Maharashtra, India. It was formed under the leadership of Martyr Dr. Narendra Dabholkar. Since inception, the Maharashtra Andhshraddha Nirmulan Samiti (MANS) has been actively
pursuing its goal of spreading scientific temper through educational, cultural activities and even public protests. Despite stiff challenges, we have exposed many miracle men and opposed exploitative, inhuman, rites and rituals. We have had few spectacular successes, the law against black magic and inhuman practices being one of them. In the year 2017, we were also successful in getting another law – Prevention of Social Boycott passed for the State of Maharashtra. However, in the process, we lost our leader, Dr. Narendra Dabholkar who was assassinated in August 2013 by as yet untraced fanatics. Regardless of this grave loss we have strived and continued, undeterred. Come August 2019 and MANS will have completed three decades of activism.
To mark this, we have planned a three day meet in Mumbai from Friday, 9th August to Sunday, 11th August 2019.
On Friday, 9th August, 2019 we plan to host an ‘International Conference on ‘Rationalism for Humanity’.
On Saturday, 10th August and Sunday, 11th August 2019, we will have Maharashtra state level convention of MANS.
